If you want a quick set-up tool for vlogging, client videos or content on the go, this tripod has earned its place in my bag. It extends up to 180 cm, so I can shoot from eye-level or get higher angles without messing around. It folds down to a compact size, so it’s easy to throw in the car or bring to a shoot. The 360° rotating head + universal mount make switching between portrait/landscape or phones and small cameras painless. I mostly use it when I’m filming solo, whether car repairs, camera tips content, etc, when I don’t want to carry heavy gear or ask someone to hold the camera. For the price, it’s a solid, reliable tool that just works without spending a fortune.
This wireless mic is tiny in size, but big on features. It's easy to clip onto a shirt or jacket when I’m doing vlogs, car-maintenance walk throughs, or interview style videos at events. The noise-reduction and stable wireless transmission make recorded audio much clearer than a built-in camera mic, even if I’m filming somewhere noisy or outdoors. It pairs fast and works plug-and-play with phones (choose the connector option for your device), so there’s no messing around when I want to shoot clear audio on the move.
This mic made a big difference for me when I started filming videos that required clean audio, whether personal vlogs, client interviews, or speaking to people at events. It’s an alternative wireless mic, with a few more features than the Boya mini. The transmitter clips onto clothing easily and stays out of the shot if a separate lav mic is connected. Noise reduction and a stable wireless transmission means I get clear, crisp audio even when I’m filming outside or somewhere noisy. For me, it’s one of those “grab-and-go” professional tools that just works.
If you’re filming on the move (or tucked away in a tiny home studio) this little tripod is brilliant. The legs bend and grip onto almost anything, including tables, fences, poles, even railings, which means you’re not stuck carrying a heavy setup or hunting for flat ground. It rotates a full 360°, so switching between landscape and portrait for YouTube or Instagram is quick and headache free. Light enough to throw in a bag, but solid enough to keep things stable when I’m recording handheld or on uneven ground. I use it when I need a quick rig for under the bonnet during car tutorials, behind-the-scenes footage, or out and about and I need a rugged tripod.
This gimbal’s been a handy bit of kit on shoots where I’m using just a phone and don’t want shaky footage. It keeps the phone very steady even if I’m walking around or filming handheld, which makes simple vlogs, tutorial videos, or quick behind-the-scenes clips look way smoother. It’s light, portable and easy to fold up, which is good when I’m traveling and trying to pack light. For those times when I don’t want to lug around a full camera rig but still want clean, professional-looking footage, this thing really comes through. The tracking feature is also a valuable addition when solo creating.
This is a fairly new addition to my camera and microphone kit. Finally DJI have introduced a usb-C dongle that utilises the high quality DJI audio transmission, rather than the poor bluetooth connections the DJI mic's relied on previously when connecting to non-DJI products (mobile phones). The DJI mini microphones are very high quality for their size, and if you are maybe looking to purchase future recording equipment, it's an excellent eco-system to begin being a part of. DJI are integrating their mic's with all their video equipment, without any additional attachments required. These will offer improved sound quality, transmission range, and a premium feel, over standard bluetooth mics.
